ASIC report puts Pay Day Lenders on Notice

ASIC’s review found particular compliance risks around the tests for loan suitability, which must be considered when the consumer has multiple other payday loans or is in default under a payday loan.

SAFCA Consortium Submission to the AER

SAFCA and some twenty collaborating agencies that employ financial counsellors have sent a submission to the Australian Energy Regulator calling for power distribution prices in SA to be decreased.

Government funding of programs released soon

ACOSS announced the DSS’s decision to extend funding for services to agencies told on Christmas eve their funding would cease. Funding would also be released to those agencies whose tender applications were successful. See more information at the link

FCA 2014 Annual report released
