Financial Counselling Assistance to those impacted by the Bushfires

Source: SAFCA

Bushfires have impacted on many people around South Australia and the Country.

Generalist financial counsellors and rural financial counsellors can assist people with the financial impacts. We can provide free expertise to issues – insurance, debt matter, energy matters, banking to name a few. We can also assist people to source the financial assistance available.

If you would like to speak to a free, independent professional about how they can help, you can contact someone in a number of ways

The National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007. The person on the phone can assist with direction to the agency that can best help you, or they can handle your issue on the phone.

To find an agency close to you, see our home page at safca.org.au. The Map of Australia there allows you to type in your postcode, and will show all the financial counselling agencies in SA. Hover over the green pin drop and contact details of the agencies will appear.

Farmers and primary producers can contact a rural financial counsellor at Rural Business Support on 1800 836 211.

SAFCA wishes all those impacted by the fires all the very best for your recovery.
